Good morning! Hey, this morning I couldn’t stop thinking about COURAGE, as the pastor from South Africa spoke on last night. In Joshua 1:7, the Lord said, “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.” Courage is the ability to confront fear, pain, danger, uncertainty or intimidation. Courage is acting in spite of fear. It also encompasses having an ingrained capacity for meeting strain or difficulty with fortitude and resilience. It also includes having a temperament enabling one to hold one’s own or keep up one’s morale when opposed or threatened. And, I love that it includes resolution and tenacity. In other words, having courage also means having a firm determination to achieve one’s goals and a stubborn persistence and unwillingness to admit defeat. Once you have God’s directive, you must have courage to carry out His plan for your life. Why? Because it will not come easy. There will be setbacks, financial challenges, betrayals or people who simply don’t see the vision that God sees for your life. In other words, there will be giants in the land that God is giving to you, but fear not and be courageous. This is what David had to have when he faced Goliath. When others feared this intimidating force, David, who was much smaller in stature had COURAGE and that is what propelled him to victory. My enCOURAGEment to you for this day is to be very courageous and move forward in the things God is calling you to do knowing that the same force that directed David’s sling shot will direct your choices today as you advance in faith and courage. Be blessed. 🙂 Da’dra
